The overall structure of the work plan is presented with work packages and tasks and their relationships. The overall structure is given in Figure 1. Overview of work packages.

The whole effort consists of seven work packages. The duration of the project will be 36 months. The work packages are following:
WP 1: Architecture and platform
- Objectives:
- To design the SWAMP system architecture
- To integrate the extended IoT baseline (WP2) and the water management services (WP3) into the SWAMP smart water management platform
- To ensure plug-and-play deployment and low-effort maintenance

- Using drones as data collection tools and sensor platforms
- Using drones as a mean to forward the data from IoT nodes to cloud services
- Developing new IoT nodes both for monitoring and control for water distribution and irrigation systems
